SocialOomph.com--Yes or No?

Since The Bee is brand new, we're under a lot of pressure to grow awareness of our product and we're relying a lot on social media channels to do that. We're also a small startup, so we don't have unlimited staff or budgets to work with. In that context, it's tempting to look for tools that make keeping all our content properly syndicated and our social profiles up to date easier, right?

Enter SocialOomph.com. This tool will allow you to set up automated processes within Twitter such as auto-following, auto-responses, pre-set blog posting, auto-tweets at certain dates and times, etc. I am sure for most of you this type of automation tool is standard issue but for me, not so much. Part of the reason is that I have always believed that a real human should be behind any social contributions we make to the community. I will admit I have set up a couple of RSS feeds that I share automatically because I like the quality of the posts and it really helps keep me productive. But things like following, thank you notes, regular insights and value--these need to be something I take the time to do myself.

Do you agree, or am I overreacting?
